J. W. Borman died at his home in town Thursday morning aged nearly seventy- seven years. He came to Iowa from Ohio in 1806. He was married to Nancy Orrison November 10, 1853. This couple celebrated their golden wedding last November. Ten children were born to them, Albert H., Minerva Downs, Dora Sprinkle, Almeda, deceased; Ulysses G., George D., Frank J., Norris E., William and Lulu Rogers. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Pool of Mt. Pleasant, assisted by Rev. Adams. Interment in Concord cemetery where so many of the Bormans sleep their last long sleep.
