Death of Myra Hull Ward. On Wednesday morning, May fourth, at three o'clock in a hospital at Memphis, Tennessee, occurred the death of Mrs. John Ward, only daughter of Mrs. Emily Hull of Columbus Junction. She had been ailing for a long time and very ill for more than two months, the last three weeks of her life being spent in a hospital. It was supposed to be typhoid fever that caused her death and it was not know until after she had passed away that he disease was found to be cancer of the stomach. From a child she has suffered intensely at times with her stomach but no thought of the real nature of her disease was ever entertained by herself or friends.

She was born in Canton, Missouri, a little more than twenty-six years ago and when eight years of age came to Iowa with her parents. Six years ago she married John Ward and lived in Keokuk until two years since, when they moved to Memphis, Tennessee, which has since been their home. One child was born to them, a little boy now four years of age. Mrs. Ward died in the Catholic faith which she had embraced since her marriage. The remains were brought to the home of her mother, Mrs. Hull of this place, last Saturday night and Sunday afternoon were interred in the Columbus City cemetery which was her request. A short service was conducted at the grave by Rev. Ballard of the U. B. church, the day being so stormy that more of a service was not attempted. The husband and son accompanied the remains and in a few days will return to the now desolate home at Memphis, where Mr. Ward expects to remain for the present.
