David McKinley died at his home in Cairo Sunday night, March 27, 1904. Had he lived until next October he would have reached the ripe old age of seventy-five years. He was thrice married. His first wife was Anna Reiley, sister of L. A. Reiley, of Wapello, the other two were sisters, Alice and Anna Allen. By each of the first two had had a son, both of whom have been in California for twenty years or more. Had no children by the third wife, who survives. Mr. McKinley had lived in Cairo for fifty years or more and has been connected with the store at that place in different capacities for the greater part of that time. The funeral occurred at 10:30, Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Cooper of Wapello. He was laid to rest in the cemetery at Cairo.
