Mrs. Sarah Ann Alloway, wife of William Alloway, died at her home in this place Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. Death came as a happy release from long months of suffering from malignant cancer. Mrs. Alloway's maiden name was James and she was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, June 19, 1846 and was at the time of her death fifty-seven years of age. She came to Iowa when a child and has resided here ever since. She was married to William Alloway March 10, 1867, and to them were born three children one of whom, a daughter, died in infancy and the other two, Mrs. Lena Barringer and James Alloway survive with the husband and to mourn her passing away. Both children live in this place. The funeral will occur from the home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. Vance of the Presbyterian church, with interment at Columbus City.
