Mrs. Elizabeth Waugh Wilson was born in Pocahontas county, West Virginia, June 26th, 1830, and died at her home in Fredonia December 31, at half past eight o'clock in the morning, the cause of death being injuries received by a fall on Christmas day. She was married at the age of seventeen to William G. Wilson and to them were born twelve children, seven of whom, four daughters and three sons, survive her. These are, J. H. Wilson, Muscatine; Melissa Lee, Fredonia; Elizabeth Boke; Muscatine; W. H. Wilson, Fredonia; Emma McDaniel, Fredonia; Ealum, Muscatine and Alice Walcott, of Minneapolis. She leaves sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchild. About ten years ago she was deprived of her husband by death, and has since lived alone, though in the immediate care of her children. The funeral will be held at the M. E. church on Sunday at 11 o'clock. Mrs. Wilson was for many years a member of this church and was a good woman who will be much missed by her relatives and friends.
