Miss Anna McGrew died at the home of her parents, Tuesday December 2, 1902. She was born in Ohio; before coming to Iowa she lived with a sister in Virginia for some time. She then taught school some years in Texas. Came to Iowa twelve years ago to visit a brother, Fin, who was located here, and remained. All the balance of her family except for the sister in Virginia have made this their home since her coming here. She was a teacher by profession and a successful one. Her father, mother, two sisters and three brothers of her immediate family survive her. The children are: Oliver, a son-in-law of T. J. Klotz, now attending medical school at Keokuk; Edward, of Spirit Lake, Fin, who makes his home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson McGrew; Kittie, yet at home and the married sister, Mrs. Mary Sheets of Virginia. The funeral occurred at the home in Union township conducted by the M. E. minister. Interment at Ainsworth.
