Mrs. Chas. Paul dead.

Lida J. Allbaugh was born in Washington county, Iowa, January 28, 1868. She died in the hospital in Iowa City July 18, 1902, of heart failure. She had never been rugged and her health had been declining for some time. She was married about seven years ago to Chas. Paul, who survives her. For some time after her marriage she continued to live in Columbus Junction, moving to West Liberty, Iowa four years ago, which place continued to be her home until her death. She was taken to the hospital at Iowa City only a few days ago where she underwent a surgical operation for a tumor. From this she rallied nicely at first, but soon passed away as noted above. The remains were brought to Columbus Junction Saturday afternoon and taken to the home of her cousin, E. T. Foster, from which place the funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock conducted by Rev. F. W. Adams. The burial was at the Foster cemetery in Union township at about 4 o'clock, by the side of her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Allbaugh. Mrs. Paul was a woman of many excellent qualities; a model housekeeper, a kind friend, a loving sister and wife. She will be mourned by many friends.
