Orono, May 20 - Orono friends mourn with Mr. and Mrs. John Elder in their loss of their little daughter, Isi Mable, who was born September 18, 1896 and died May 9, 1902. She was operated on for appendicitis some days before but in spite of all that was done the angel of death claimed her for his own. Isi was a bright little girl and will be sadly missed in the home circle and among her friends. She leaves her grief stricken parents, one sister and three brothers besides many friends to mourn her departure. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church at Nichols Sunday morning May 11. Rev. Millice took for his text 1 Cor 12:55-58; the same the same that Rev. C. L. Stafford of Muscatine used at the funeral of her Grandfather Elder, December 31, 1901. Little Isi was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shellabarger of Letts. Her brother, Earl, came from his school duties at Council Bluffs a few days before she died.
