The sympathy of the community goes out to the Stapp family in the loss of their mother. She died at one o'clock this morning after an illness of many weeks duration. She was born in Virginia in 1832. Went to Indiana when quite young, where at the age of 17 she married Reuben Stapp. They came to Iowa in an early day, entering and settling upon the farm that remained their home till death. The children who were at her bedside during her sickness were Mrs. T. J. Klotz, John J., Ida Duncan, Ada Blair, George, Cora Willey and Gary and Harry Stapp. One or two children died in infancy.
