Wapello, March 20 - Mrs. Esther Peters, wife of Israel Peters, three miles south of Wapello, died March 16, 1901, aged 64 years and seven months. Funeral services occurred from the M. E, church on Monday conducted by Rev. R. L. Patterson. Her oldest son and her only brother, now the last survivor of her family, came from Columbus, Ohio, to attend the funeral, as did also W. E. Wright and wife of Earlham, Albert Peters and wife of Lone Tree, and Mrs. William Longshore of Minnesota.
