Mattie A. Nichols was born November 27, 1872; died February 28, 1901, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Nichols. She was the youngest daughter of a family nice children; six sons and three daughters. Her father and one brother preceded her to the great beyond, from whence no traveler ever returns. She joined the M. E. church at the age of 15 years, and was a consistent member to the time of her death.
