Dewey Junction, January 1- On last Wednesday morning, December 26, Mrs. Amanda Fletcher died at her home north of town, after a lingering illness with typhoid fever, for seven weeks. Amanda Biggs was born near Bard, March 6, 1874. Here she spent most of her girlhood days. She was united in marriage with Jefferson Fletcher, September 5, 1889. To them were born three sons, the oldest now five and the youngest one year old. These motherless babes and lone husband have the deepest sympathy of the intire community. Her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Biggs, survives her to mourn her loss. The remains were interred in the Beauchamp graveyard, Friday, December 28.
