Edward Thompson, formerly a resident of this place, died at his home in Wapello, November 14. He had been a sufferer from stomach trouble for a number of years, but got relief and was able to be around again until a few weeks ago when the disease came back again and resulted in death. After a short service at the home the remains were brought to Grandview and services were held in the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Peterson of Wapello assisted by Rev. Poole. Mr. Thompson leaves a wife, three sons and a host of friends to mourn his loss.
