Letts, October 19-News was received here last Saturday that John Riggs, living north of town, died at the VanKleek infirmary, northwest of Columbus Junction. The funeral was held last Sunday at the St. John's chapel. We did not learn the minister's name that had charge of the funeral. Mr. Riggs was an old and much respected citizen. One by one the old settlers pass over.
