Mrs. James D. Barr, of Wapello, died at her home Monday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock. She was the second daughter of Geo. H. and Kate Jenkins and was born in Kern county, Ohio, January 6, 1839. In 1857, August 31, she was married to James D. Barr, who with five children survive. These latter are Mrs. C. M. Wright, Mrs. C. A. McWilliams, J. W., Robert E. and Clara Barr. beside these she leaves three bothers and one sister, two of whom, John Jenkins and Mrs. Lucy A. Bottonfield were present at her funeral. Funeral occurred at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. T. S. Pool, on Wednesday at 2 o'clock p. m.
