Orono, July 13 - The venerable Mrs. van Horn passed away yesterday, July 12, 1897, about the noon hour at an advanced age. She had been an invalid for a long time. Besides her husband she leaves two sons and five daughters also a number of grandchildren. She was a sister of Messrs. Charles and Washington Emerson. Funeral today at 2 o'clock.
