Grandview, June 21- Abraham Shiek was born in Armstrong county, Penn, February 28, 1830. He moved to Michigan when he was 21 years old where he married ?years later to Margaret Druck. He moved to Louisa county, Iowa in the year 1886 and settled in Grandview where he resided until his death which occurred June 14, 1897. Eight children were born to them, seven boys and one girl. The boys are D. W. of Chicago, Frank of Muscatine, Henry who died in 1896, and the youngest boy who is at home. Their daughter Alice is at home. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad bereavement. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Bevan at the family residence and the remains were laid to rest in the Grandview cemetery there to await the resurrection morn.
