?A. Hamilton was born in Glasgow, Scotland, October 29, 1844. He died at his home in this place Sunday, march 28, 1897. He came to America while quite young, in 187? he was united in marriage to Miss Melinda James. To them were born seven children, five are still living. These are Nellie, of Peoria; Willie, of Glenwood; Jerome, ? and Elsie B. of this place. Mrs. Hamilton has been dead for a number of years. Mr. Hamilton was not a member of any church. Was an I. O. ? and was buried under their ?. He had been a member of the? council for several terms.
