Mrs. Bettie C. Murdock, wife of B. F. Murdock, died very suddenly at her home in Platte city, Missouri, Wednesday, Dec. 9th. She had just dressed herself to go our calling with a lady friend on the Monday preceding, when she suffered a paralytic stroke. She lingered until Wednesday. She will be remembered here, as she was hostess of the old Murdock House for several years. She was a most estimable lady. She was married to Mr. Murdock in 1865 and was a little over 53 years old. The husband and one daughter are the only members of the family left.
