John Wren was born in Columbus City township, January 15, 184? and died in the same township ? afternoon, after a long sickness. He was a member of the 25th Iowa infantry and served about three yeas during the war. He was married to Mary ? a good many years. He was laid to rest in the Tennessee graveyard, Monday afternoon.
