Mrs. Mary Martin died at the home of her youngest daughter, Mrs. D. M. Bridges of Grandview, Sunday morning, June 7, 1896, of old age, aged eighty years. She leaves two sons and four daughters; Jas. Martin, of Grandview; Jacob Martin, of Muscatine; Mrs. Wm. Walker, Mrs. D. M. Bridges and Mrs. David Stineman, of Grandview, and Mrs. I. C. Freeland of this place. Deceased had been a resident of this county since 1849, and was a lifelong member of the Evangelical church. The funeral service were conducted by Rev. Pugh at the Grandview M. E. church on Monday. Interment in Grandview cemetery.
