Died, March 22, 1896, of consumption, Lillian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Turner, aged 14 years. Lillian Turner is a name familiar and dear to nearly every child in our community. Until last Christmas she was the picture of health. Her character all grace and beauty and love and purity and truth. Though but a child in years, Lillian possessed much of the zeal and ability of her elders. Two years ago, during the summer vacation she organized a Kindergarten at her home for the children of the neighborhood, and in her Sabbath school she was delegated, more than a year since to organize a class of girls of her own age which she did successfully. Her christian character an energy were so marked that she was appointed an instructor in the primary department of the Sabbath school, shortly before her fatal illness began. The funeral services were held from the Tabernacle of the United Presbyterian church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. Atkinson. The white casket was bowered in flowers bestowed by many friends. The church was filled to overflowing with those who loved her.
