Elizabeth Jackson was born in Stark county, Ohio, in 1818. Her parents were English, having come to this country only a few years previous to her birth. With them she removed to Licking county, the same state, when quite young. Here, in 1834 she was married to Michael Crilly. Two children were born to them, Sarah, who died at the age of two years, the other Mary, is the wife of ex-county Auditor Archibald of Wapello. Mr. Crilly died in 1840, one year after Mary's birth. In 1849, October 25, Mrs. Crilly married the late Levi Bozman. She came with him to Iowa in 1853 and they soon after settled on the farm in Wapello township which remained their home until the death of Mr. Bozman which occurred Oct 29, 1892. Of the three children born to them, all are dead; the two girls in infancy, the son, December 9, 1886 at the age of thirty five.

Since the death of her last husband Mrs. Bozman made her home with her only remaining child, Mrs. Archibald. Mrs. Bozman was a member of the Presbyterian church at he time of her death. She was raised in that faith, her father having been an elder in that church for many years in the old country. In 1854 she united with the Methodist church of which her husband was an active member, as there was no Presbyterian congregation convenient to her country home, but on coming to Wapello a few years since she transferred her membership to the church of her first choice. Her death occurred at 3:55 of the morning of February 28, after a sickness of almost two weeks' duration. She had been in rather poor health for many years. The funeral took place on Saturday March 2. Burial at the Concord cemetery, near her former home. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of all in their affliction.
