Columbus Gazette, Columbus Junction, Iowa
Wednesday, February 6, 1895 page 1

Our Morning Sun correspondent mentions the death of Mrs. Harvey Harris, of near that place. She came with her husband from Ohio to Iowa in 1852. Since which time she has lived with her husband on the same farm, three miles north-east of Morning Sun. Besides a husband she leaves four sons. Thomas, Joseph, Newton and George, and two daughters Mrs. Hamilton and Rachel, to mourn the loss of one of the best and kindest mothers. We have known Mrs. Harris, as a neighbor and friend since 1854. She was a very domestic woman. Her family was her world. Her circle of acquaintances was a small one, but they were all her friends. She had no enemies. The husband and family have the universal sympathy of all who knew her.
