The death of Mrs. Davison, so long expected occurred on Sunday last. Elizabeth A. Montgomery was born at Salem, Ohio, June 16, 1839. This would make her about fifty-five years and six months of age at the time of her death. On February 20, 1873, she was united in marriage to Mark Davison. this even occurred at Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Since that time her home has been at Wapello. In very early life she united with the Methodist church and continued a consistent and devoted member of that organization up to her death. The ladies connected with that society will long and deeply miss her devotion and work. She was taken sick December 28, 1893, and since that time she was a helpless invalid, her disease finally terminating in dropsy. The funeral occurred from the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. G. W. Youkin her pastor. Besides a husband and several stepchildren to whom she had been a devoted mother, she leaves three sisters to mourn her death. These are Mrs. Sue Hyde and Miss Fannie Montgomery, of Wapello and Mrs. Ettie Walker of Chicago.
