Mrs. John Welch of Columbus City died at her home on Monday afternoon after an illness of several months. She leaves a husband and six children; three sons and three daughters, all married but one daughter, Maggie, who lives at home. All her children except one son atteeded the funeral which occurred from the Baptist church, Columbus City, Tuesday afternoon, July 3rd. Mrs. Welch was a sincere Christian, an energetic industrious woman, an affectionate wife and mother and a good neighbor. She was for many years a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Donovan.
