Elmer L Bozman, son of Brandy Bozman, was born in Louisa county, Iowa, December 13, 1855, died May 9, 1894, near Spring Run. He was married to Sophia A Brewer October 31, 1877. By this union four children were born to them, two boys and two girls. On the 29th day of March, 1888, he was taken down with hemorrhage of the lungs and gradually went down by this terrible disease, consumption, until it claimed him as a victim. At the age of twenty-one he united with the Christian church and from that time on he lived in the enjoyments of the blessing of the gospel of peace. In his sufferings he felt God was with him to comfort and sustain him in his afflictions he patiently waiting the Master's call. he leaves a wife, four children, an aged father, two sisters, Mrs. Bob Owens and Mrs. John Bevins and a host of friends to mourn his departure. His funeral was preached in the Spring Run church by the writer to a large concourse of sorrowing friends. He was buried in the Spring Run cemetery to await the resurrection mourn.
