Hazel E., daughter of Albert H. and Clara Brown, was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, March 8, 1893; died September 22, 1893, aged 6 months, 14 days. Thus passed the sweet babe to the eternal home and to the companionship of angel and saints. Mrs. Brown is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Thomas, of Columbus City. Mr George Thomas, the brother of Mrs. Brown, and wife were here also from Chicago. They brought the little remains from Ottumwa to be laid to rest in the Columbus City cemetery. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church of this place Sabbath, September 24, by the Rev. Kuntz.
