Will A. Cobb Jr. was born in Mt Pleasant, Iowa, May 7, 1872 and died at his home in Columbus Junction, September 12, 1893. His mother died when he was but little over one year old. His father married two years later a lady who proved a mother to him in every respect. He came to Columbus Junction with his parents nine years ago, and has lived here since. He was married in 1892 to Miss Ola Duncan, who with an infant son, about two months old, is left to mourn his early death. Mr. Cobb was not a member of any church, but before his death expressed deep and sincere repentance for sin, and faith in God. His illness was of about two weeks duration and from the first he was very sick, though for a few days last week he seemed better and hopes were entertained of his recovery, but on Sunday night he became worse and failed rapidly, passing away Tuesday morning about 8 o'clock. He was fully conscious up to the last moment and had his friends an affectionate farewell, kissing his baby almost with his last breath. Funeral took place Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. Williams. Interment at Columbus City.
