Died, at Bridgewater, Iowa, May 15, 1893, Bell Chapman, wife of Robert M. Atcheson and eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Chapman of Corning. From little childhood into a sweet womanhood, belle grew up among us, a good and loving daughter, a tender, gentle sister and a true and faithful friend. Everyone knew her and everyone loved her, and the entire community mourns with the sorrow stricken father and mother and young husband in their bereavement. Last September she was married to Robert M. Atcheson and went to Bridgewater, Adair county where in these few short months she made many warm friends who did everything in their power to assist and sympathize in her last illness. The funeral services were held at the home of her parents in Corning, Wednesday, May 17, where with a sad heart the venerable minister who had both baptized and married her spoke the last words of comfort and farewell above her quiet form.
