Letts, April 18- Died at his home in our city last Sunday morning, Isaac Shellabarger. He was born at Newville, Cumberland county, Pennsylvania, September 15, 1832, making him 60 years, 7 months and 1 day old at the time of his death. He was twice married. To the first marriage six children were born. These are l. H., Vinton G., and Martin L., the sons, and Mrs. Elliot of this place; Mrs. D. O. Thompson of Chicago and Mrs. S. Guthrie of Grandview. Miss Minnie is the only child by his second wife. His children with the exception of little Winnie, all have homes of their own. Mr. Shellabarger has been a christian and a member of the U. B. church for many years. Of his integrity and honesty as a business man nothing we could say would add to or detract from his noble character. He had done much toward the upbuilding of our little town and no man was more respected than he. While he did not live to the fruition of his hopes in this life, yet he has left behind him assurance that he has ? to a home where the blessed hope of eternal life is realized. The afflicted family have the sympathy of the community. He was buried in the cemetery at this place Tuesday of this week, a large concourse of his friends taking part in the solemn service.
