May 28th. We have just learned of the death of Chas. Huff. He was on our streets last Saturday, and remarked that he supposed it was for the last time. He passed away this afternoon while sitting in his chair. He was in his 87th year. His wife died a number of years ago. Five sons and three daughters survive him, John Huff, of Wapello, R. B. of Muscatine, Wesley, Levi and David of Cass county, and Mrs. McGrew, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Spence Potter. Father Huff came to this county in 1861 and has always been universally respected for his upright and christian character.
