Obituary – Mrs. Henrietta Genevieve Collins, the announcement of whose death appeared in last week’s Gazette, was born at Waukegon, Illinois, April 28, 1848. She was reared from infancy by her aunt, Mrs. J. L. Collins, of this place. She was the niece of Mrs. Collins, Mrs. Wm. Cloth, Galena, and James M. O’Connell of Lake Forest, Illinois. She was well educated lady, having finished a course at the Lake Forest educational institution.

Before her marriage she taught school in this vicinity ad proved herself an educator of the very highest ability, as her many old students here are glad to testify. She was married to M. W. Collins, in 1874. Six children, all boys, were the result of this union all of whom are alive to mourn a mother’s loss.

She was reared a Roman Catholic, and lived and died a consistent member of that church. Her disease was Pleura-pneumonia. She was buried from the Roman Catholic church at Twin Rivers, Nodoway county, Missouri on the 5th of this month.
