Funeral services for 88 year old Eva May Carman of Letts, IA was held on Wednesday, March 15, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. at the Letts Methodist Church, Letts.

Eva May Fischer was born January 28, 1907 in Yarmouth, IA to Bert A. and Minnie Broeker Fischer. Eva married James Norman Carman November 20, 1930 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. Eva was a registered nurse and worked in private duty in the Burlington area for 26 years. She was a member of the Letts Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Registered Nurses Association of Burlington and the Jane/Delano Club.

Survivors: two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Margaret) Thomas, Letts; Mrs. Gregg (Marie) Bassett, Ellsworth, Maine. Four sons: Glen Carman, Burlington; Dale Carman, Stony Brook, NY; James Carman, Talllahassee, FL; and Dvid Carman, Manhassett, NY. There are seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Glen Fischer of Burlington, two sisters Mrs. Jennie Mickelson, Burlington, and Mrs. Howard (Elsie) Miller, New London, IA. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband,Norman November 1, 1994, a brother Charles and sisters, Ruby, Alice, Nellie and an infant girl.
