MRS. SAM PARKS PASSES AWAY

Wapello Resident Dies of Scarlet Fever –
Private Funeral to Be Held

Wapello, Ia., Jan. 25. – Mrs. Sam Parks, 21, died Wednesday afternoon following an illness of a few days with scarlet fever. Private funeral will be held but no arrangements have been made at this hour. Her maiden name was Lilas McGraw and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McGraw and born in Wapello. Besides the husband she is survived by her parents, a sister and three brothers, and a daughter, two years old, and an infant son, born Jan. 14. The baby is also ill with scarlet fever.

NOTE: Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Iowa.
