Pioneer Resident of Louisa County Dies

Columbus Junction, Ia., Nov. 16, -- Mrs. George Wagner, aged 77, a pioneer resident of Louisa county, passed away at her home two and one-half miles north of Fredonia at 3:30 o’clock Sunday morning.

Mrs. Wagner was born in Pennsylvania She came to Iowa when a child of 8 or 9 years, her parents locating in Louisa county. Mrs. Wagner, whose maiden name was Maria Doman, was united in marriage to George Wagner at Grandview in 1855. She is survived by her husband, one son and three daughters. The children are Charles Wagner, residing east of Columbus Junction; Mrs. Emma Crull of Fredonia; Mrs. Ida Karns of Wilton, and Mrs. Della Hamilton of Cone.

The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon from the home. The services will be conducted by Rev. C. R. Wilson. Interment will be made in Bethel cemetery.
