HARLEY DEVORE

COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home for Harley Cecil DeVore, 79. Mr. DeVore died Thursday morning at his home here. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Hasel. Burial will be in the Columbus City cemetery.

Mr. DeVore was born July 21, 1895, the son of John Otterbein and Emma Sharpe DeVore. He was a life resident of Columbus Junction. He married Inez Anna Whistler June 10, 1937, at Burlington. Mr. DeVore was a retired farmer and held membership in the United Methodist church here.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Harley C. DeVore, Jr., of Davenport; a step-son, Raymond Hendrickson of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Walter, of Columbus Junction, and Chester, of Davenport; one sister, Mrs. Floyd (Lela) Marston, Washington; and three grandchildren.
