Jeremiah Wagner, an old and respected resident of this county, passed away at his home northeast of Fredonia, Saturday, June 27, 1914, after an illness of several months.

Jeremiah Wagner, son of Deaterick and Lovina Wagner, was born in Dauphin county, Pa., Oct. 25, 1851, and when very young come to Louisa county, where he has resided ever since.

On Dec. 18, 1873, he was united in marriage to Litha Blake, who passed away in June, 1876. He was again married April 22, 1880, to Miss Ellen Trimble, who survives him. His parents and nine brothers preceded him in death, and besides his wife, the surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. J. Utter, of Letts, three brothers, Michael, of Letts, and George and Joseph, of this vicinity.

The funeral service was held from the home Monday afternoon, June 29, conducted by Rev. Denny, of Letts. Interment in Cedar Bethel cemetery.
