Columbus Junction – Memorial services for 33-year old Mark Alan Edkin of Columbus City will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home.

There is no visitation. The body has been cremated and private burial will be at a later date. A memorial has been established at the funeral home.

Mark Alan Edkin was born Aug. 17, 1960, in Muscatine, to Dr. Forrest and Iris Eberhart Edkin. Mark had attended the Immanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his parents, Dr. Forrest and Iris Edkin of Columbus City; three brothers, Forrest Edkin Jr. and Dr. Bruce Edkin, both of Muscatine, and Dr. Roger Edkin of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Jon (Sylvia) Hoback of Columbus Junction; 22 nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew, Warren Beard.
