Miss Josephine Stevens, daughter of Levi and Jane Stevens, who were pioneer residents of Louisa county, passed away at the old home Saturday afternoon, October 13, at 5 o'clock. Her last illness dated over a period of several months during which time she suffered from a complication of diseases. Deceased spent her entire life on the homestead near here, residing there with her brother and sister, John and Miss Nan. Another sister, Mrs. Chas. Blaul of Burlington, also survives.

Funeral services were conducted from the family home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, by the Rev. W.R. Coventry of the First Presbyterian church. Interment in Harrison cemetery.
