Ruth WILLIAMS GIPPLE, 85,of Columbus Junction died Tuesday, July 26,2005 at Manor Court of Peru, Ill.

Mrs. GIPPLE was born on Aug. 16,1919 to Morgan and Alice (JONES)WILLIAMS in Louisa County. She married Dean Hamilton GIPPLE on Nov 24, 1938.

Mrs. Gipple graduated from Wyman High School in 1937 and from Dayton Business School in Dayton, Ohio. She was a homemaker, farmer's wife and loved taking care of her family. She was a member of Spring Run Church and was active in the Ladies Aid Society. In later years, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Louisa County, where she enjoyed the quilting group. She was also active in 4H leadership and was a member of the Wyman Kitchen Band.

Mrs. Gipple is survived by her husband, Dean; two sons, Danny GIPPLE and wife Joyce of Wapello and Melvin GIPPLE and wife Irene of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Susie STOUTNER and husband jim of Peru, Ill., Nancy THORKILDSON and husband Bob of Shellsburg and Alice REDALEN and husband Todd of Edgerton, Wis; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Maglona BLOCK and Rosella CRAWFORD.
