Edna Stewart rites Monday

LOCKRIDGE - Edna May Stewart, 96, Lockridge, died at 12:15 a.m. today at Parkview Care Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lockridge Baptist Church with buiral in Mallory Cemetery east of Wapello. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Lockridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stewart was born Dec. 19, 1890 in Eldon, the daughter of Isaac and Alice Belle Littlefield Fisher. She married William N. Stewart Feb. 7, 1915 in Libertyville. He died in June, 1955. A farm wife and mother, she had libed most of her life in the Lockridge community since 19, and before that in Wapello and Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Lockridge Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Alice Haynes of Cedar Rapids, Florence Graber of Lockridge; seven grandchildren; 1 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a nephew, Leonard Barton of Cedar Rapids, who had made his home with the Stewart family. A son, two daughters and two sisters preceded her in death.
