Mitchell M. Allen, 92, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas.

Mitchell was born June 10, 1920, in Louisa County, Iowa, to Hazel and Clement Allen. He retired in 1971 from the United States Postal Service in Columbus Junction, Iowa. He was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army stationed in Casablanca.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Marion J. Allen; his son, Richard (Moe) Allen; his daughter, Ruth Allen; his sisters, Barbara and Marcia; his brother, Kenton; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Phylis and Jean.

The cremation was intrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
