FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT WAPELLO

Mrs. Eva Blanch Beane, operator of the Sherman hotel at Wapello for thirty-six years, died at her home Friday at 3:30 pm following a heart attack after being ill a week.

Mrs. Beane was born March 11, 1879 near Morning Sun, the daughter of William and Caroline Curran Delzell. Her entire life was spent in Louisa county. She was married December 25, 1894 to Frank Beane, who died June 16, 1933, two daughters preceded their mother in death. Ruth died in infancy and Mrs. Lorene Anderson in 1938.

She leaves one son, John of Lafayette, Indiana; two grandsons, John and Billy Beane, who make their home in Wapello with Mrs. Beane; and two daughters, George Delzell of Morning Sun and Wesley Delzell of Pulaski, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Beane residence Monday at 2 pm conducted by Rev. R.G. Nye. Burial was made in the Wapello cemetery.
