FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA
HUGH PAISLEY PASSES AWAY AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

Hugh Paisley, 69, former resident of Morning Sun died at his home at 163 North Ivy, Monrovia, California, Monday afternoon of a heart ailment.

Mr. Paisley visited here late last summer at the J.E. Wright and Mrs. Leah Peterson homes. He was well known throughout the Morning Sun community.

The son of Frank and Jane Keller Paisley, he was born January 9, 1876 at Morning Sun, where he grew to manhood. On October 20, 1904, he was married to Minnie Peterson, who survives. Prior to moving to Monrovia a number of years ago, he lived in Burlington.

Also surviving are one son, John, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Lynch of Monrovia; one sister, Mrs. J.E. Wright of Morning Sun; and one brother, Frank Paisley, in a veterans home in California.

Mr. Paisley was a veteran of the Spanish-American war and World War I. While in Burlington he was employed at the West Burlington railroad shops.
