COZAD, William Joseph

William Joseph Cozad 49, 34728 102 N. Ave. West, died Tuesday at the University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Services are Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Clark of the Community Christian Church will officiate. Pallbearers are Elmer Skidmore, Bernie Brauns, John Kirkland, Pete Snider, Roger Lane and Don Cozad. Burial will be in Island Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Thursday at the funeral home where a memorial has been established.

Mr. Cozad was born Aug 10, 1936 at Perry, Mo., a son of Raymond Guy and Margaret Sarah Ellis Cozad. He was a life resident. He married Betty Mae Blackman on Sept. 24, 1954 at Wapello. He was a large equipment operator and a member of Local No. 537.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jackie Joe, Rickie Lyn and Raymond Dean Cozad, all of Muscatine; three daughters Mrs. Randy A. (Sheila Mae) Gray, Mrs. James (Carolyn Sue) Hahn and Mrs. Donald (Sara Jo) Huber, all of Muscatine; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Cozad, Richard Cozad and Scott Cozad, all of Muscatine; and three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Wanda) Schultz, Mary Lou Hinden, Mrs. Albert (Geraldine) Stacher, all of Muscatine.
