(Wapello or Morning Sun, Iowa, paper, probably January 31 or February 1, 1975)

HAZEL ANN WALKER

Mrs. Hazel Ann Walker, 78, died Jan. 28 at Morning Sun Manor following an extended illness.

Mrs. Walker, daughter of Joe and Flora (Piper) Miller, was born August 26, 1896 in Mediapolis.

She married Frank Walker on January 21, 1920 at Burlington. She Was a member of the Wapello United Methodist church. Mrs. Walker belonged to the Sunshine club, was a member of Rebekah and was past Noble Grand. She has been a life long resident of Wapello.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; three sons, Dale, Marvin, Wapello; and Dean Muscatine; one brother, Johnnie Miller, Mediapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Cosens, Mediapolis; Mrs. Mae Brockway, Wapello; Mrs. Estella Kline, Burlington, and Mrs. Ida Riepe, Mediapolis; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; five step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters ___[and] one brother.

Funeral services were held Thursday at Dudgeon-McCulley funeral home with Rev. George Snyder of the Wapello United Methodist church officiating. Phyllis McCulley was organist and the flowers were cared for by Edith Toms and Jackie McConahay.

Bearers were Kenneth Elliott, Thomas Pogemiller, Robert Pogemiller, Harold Small, Ralph Scheihing and Robert McConahay. Interment was in the Wapello cemetery.
