Jeannie Hawkins, 59, of Columbus Junction, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Palliative Care Unit.

Memorial services were Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Visitation was Thursday, June 9th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Cremation was facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center of Muscatine. Jeannie Elizabeth Crouch was born July 12, 1951 in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd G. and Mary E. (Magaw) Crouch. Jeannie married Willard D. Hawkins on August 3, 1995 in Washington, Iowa. She had worked as a Medical Aide at Sunrise Terrace Nursing Home. She had been a resident of the Columbus Junction area since 1982 and was affiliated with the Dove Fellowship of Olds, IA. She had been a member of the Shiloh Church in Kalona and the RiverLife of Cedar Rapids. Jeannie was a huge Beatles fan. She also enjoyed gardening and shopping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and puppies.

Jeannie will be dearly missed by her husband, Willard of Columbus Junction; her daughters, Tamara Donaldson and husband, Chad of Ft. Madison and Sarah York and husband, Jeff of Washington; her sons, Raymond W. Sallee and wife, Missy of Indiana, Timothy Sallee and wife, Patti of Wapello and Scott S. Hawkins and wife, Sheila of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael.
