STAPP, DUNCAN, ROBERTSON, HAUENSTEIN, MOORE, SCHOCH, FORSYTHE

Mrs. Stella Stapp of this community, died at Bellevue Hospital, Muscatine, March 20, after an illness of several weeks duration.

With the exception of a year spent in Colorado, Mrs. Stapp was a life resident of Columbus Junction community.

Stella Duncan was the daughter of Nelson and Rosanna Robertson Duncan and was born on a farm near Columbus Junction on July 18, 1872. She was married to Garry Stapp on December 28, 1892, and they lived on a farm near Columbus Junction for many years. Mr. Stapp died July 24, 1939.

Three sons and a daughter survive: David Stapp, Wilton Junction, Fred and Everett Stapp and Mrs. Hauenstein, all of Columbus Junction.

Also surviving are a brother, Fred Duncan, Columbus Junction, Three sisters: Mrs. William Moore, Billings, Montana; Mrs. Faye Schoch, Muscatine, and Mrs. Grace Forsythe. There are 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the United Presbyterian Church in Columbus City at two o'clock this Thursday afternoon and were conducteded by the Rev.Thomas Nelson of Cotter.

Music was provided for the service by Mrs. Raymond Hendrickson.

Flower attendants were Mae McBride, Dorothy King and Madge Hauenstein.

Casket bearers were, Harold Orr, Carl Willey, Frank Hauenstein, Paul Klotz, Ralph Orr, and Rollin Orr.

Interment in the Columbus city Cemetery under the direction of the Stephens Funeral Home.
