Mary “Marcie” Marcella Mottet, 74, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on June 5, 1934 in Ryan, Iowa to James R. McElligott and Mary E. Engel McElligott.

She married James Mottet at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ryan, Iowa on October 13, 1956. She moved to Bella Vista in 1990 from Columbus Junction, Iowa. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James B. Mottet; one son, Patrick; three brothers, Lawrence McElligott, Francis McElligott, Edward McElligott; three sisters, Irene Keenan, Patricia Wendell, and Marita Monaghan.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Mottet of Stockton, California; Christopher Mottet of Columbus City, Iowa; Daniel Mottet of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two daughters, Jamie Ann Martin of Columbus Junction, Iowa; Licia McAtee of Wapello, Iowa; two brothers, Robert McElligott of Waterloo, Iowa, Dan McElligott of Manchester Iowa; and ten grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time. Services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
